PRE-SEASON RESULTS 2025/26

DF: It's been a good, solid pre-season for us. The lads all reported back in the last week of June in good shape and we have worked with them over the summer preparing them for the vigours of the new season. I'm happy with performances in the friendly matches and the one I was best pleased with was the 1-0 victory over Wigan. We can now look forward to Leyton Orient on the 9th August. Ryan Croasdale is out for a couple of weeks with a heel injury and will return to the side at the end of the month but the injury is precautionary and he won't be risked.

Should I stay awake for an influx of matches this evening TPBD??

One more sleep until we start our title winning season!

I had this perfect dream
Un sueno me envolvio
This dream was me and you
Tal vez esta aqui
I want all the world to see
Un instinto me guiaba
A miracle sensation
My guide and inspiration
Now my dream is slowly coming true
The wind is a gentle breeze
EI me hablo de ti
The bells are ringing out
EI canto vuela
They're calling us together
Guiding us forever
Wish my dream would never go away
Vanarama
On a muddy pitch and wet
Vanarama
Every week you screw my bet
The moment that you stepped into the room
You took my breath away
Vanarama
La musica vibro
Vanarama
Yella nos unio
And if Shirley is willing
We will meet again
Someday
Let the songs begin
Dejalo nacer
Let the music play
Ah
Make the voices sing
Nace un gran amor
Start the celebration
Ven a mi
And cry
Grita
Come…

We should come out to that.

Mark Connolly will prove a shrewd piece of business

MARK My WORDS, Mark is hard to mark on corners and Mark will be looking to lay down a marker in the first pre season game and get top marks for his performances whilst listening to Richard Marx on the dressing room and cleaning all the dirt marks off all the players kits because he bought some washing powder from Marks & Spencer on Marks Street
He's a dream for the MARKeting department...

THE 2025/26 SEASON IS UNDERWAY!

The season opened at Mill Farm with Leyton Orient the visitors. Tom Hadler, Mark Connolly and Josh Ferguson made their debut with defender Ryan Elliott and Kian Robinson on the bench. Fylde started brightly showing flawless attacking football. Josh Ferguson opened his goalscoring account with a sweet long range effort that powered into the back of the net after 17 minutes. Tyrone O'Neill looked like the player he was two seasons ago and scored a header after wonderful passing between Okoroji and Henderson down the left wing. O'Neill got a poachers goal shortly after when Wright-Phillips' shot was saved and the rebound fell to O'Neill who threw himself at it to take it over the line. Fylde 3-0 up at half-time and looking solid. Orient came out in the second half and scored within the first minute, Dominic Smith launched a long ball for Owens to run on to who squared it for Hamilton to pass into an empty net. Hadler cleared the ball upfield but it came back when Edwards on the right wing put the ball into the box for Hamilton who took it on the chest before blasting it past Hadler to make it 3-2. Nervy times for Fylde who had dominated much of the game, however The Coasters got over the line and picked up the 3 points. It could have gone a different way so easily.

DF: It was certainly a performance of two halves. First half we looked fantastic, the football was flowing and the lads played just how I wanted them to. We got into half-time with some of these lads thinking it was job done, I told them we have to keep the intensity but from the first minute we lapsed and that gave Leyton Orient a foothold in the game. They grew in confidence and made it difficult for us. Orient has always been a tough team to play and there's no change, I'm sure they'll be up there towards the end of the season.
