Former Everton Centre Forward Duncan Ferguson steps into management.....

AFC FYLDE TRANSFER WINDOW ROUND-UP 2025/26

Duncan Ferguson went into this window knowing reinforcements were required and it seems to have been a very good window for The Coasters.
Giuseppe Bellusci retired from football, Russell Griffiths rejected Fylde's offer of a contract and later signed for Forest Green Rovers on a free transfer, a deal that did not sit well with Fylde fans. Defender Ryan Reynolds left the club and later signed for Exeter City in League Two. Attacking midfielder Jim Kellerman was very much a back up option for Fylde but seems to have got himself a good deal at League Two Stevenage. With Richie Ginnelly, Ashley Hammond and Martin Withers all returning to their clubs after their loan spells ended, Ferguson had big places in his squad to fill but Ferguson stated early in pre-season he wasn't just looking for numbers, he wanted vast improvement:

Josh Ferguson (Attacking Midfielder)

23 year old Josh Ferguson signed from Wigan Athletic on a free transfer, the midfielder made seven appearances for Wigan in the Championship last season but did not have his contract extended.

Tom Hadler (Goalkeeper)

29 year old Tom Hadler was sold a dream by Duncan Ferguson to come and join a club that was on the up. Hadler was signed from Kidderminster Harriers for £16,500 and is an ideal replacement for Russell Griffiths as the keeper has been Kidderminster's number one keeper for the last three seasons in the National League.

Kian Robinson (Striker)

Kian Robinson joins Fylde on a season long loan from Coventry City. The 22 year old played 22 times for Coventry in League One last season and scored 5 goals. It seems he has slipped down the pecking order at Coventry and the opportunity to play first team football was too good to turn down.

Mark Connolly (Central Defender)

33 year old defender Mark Connolly was signed from League Two Burton Albion for £13,500. The defender will prove to be a solid option for Fylde as he has spent the last ten years of his career playing in the football league Crawley Town. A shrewd piece of business by Ferguson to capture an experienced defender.

Ryan Elliot (Central Defender)

Ryan Elliot was released from Everton after failing to break into the first team after coming through the clubs academy. The young Irish Evertonian is delighted to link up with Duncan Ferguson and joins Fylde on a free transfer. Ryan Elliott has stated he wants to follow in the footsteps of Morgan Feeney.

Dan Fisher (Attacking Midfielder)

18 year old Dan Fisher joins on loan from Sunderland to provide back up for Josh Ferguson and look to stake his place in the first team at Fylde this season. The 18 year old made six appearances as a 16 year old for Sunderland and spent last season on loan at Alfreton Town. Sunderland are ken for him to continue his development at Fylde this season.

Mark Connolly will prove a shrewd piece of business

MARK My WORDS, Mark is hard to mark on corners and Mark will be looking to lay down a marker in the first pre season game and get top marks for his performances whilst listening to Richard Marx on the dressing room and cleaning all the dirt marks off all the players kits because he bought some washing powder from Marks & Spencer on Marks Street

Russell Griffiths can @#$& right off. I guess 30 pieces of silver are vegan. Forest Green are an abomination to football.

Other than that, great transfer window.

I don't know what you've been smoking with Howard Marks but safe hands Hadler is the business I'm most impressed with.

100% "Peeping" Tom "Haddock" Hadlers has what it takes to take over from Russell "Rustlers" Griffiths mate.

I was always impressed with Tom when watching him on my ceefax updates, always seemed to pick the ball out of the net with such authority and leadership.

Yep, we are in safe hands and I still feel there might be one more surprise and we might proper splash the cash and go balls deep on a 25k signing

Gotta be careful with the FFP. I know the Turkmanistan lad has a few Bob but he's not officially on board but he can maybe sponsor us with his mobile phone company, Uncle Sid's Mobiles from on the high street. We're minted but will the likes of Crawley Town and Tranmere want us to crash the top table?

That's a great point about FFP, I think cos Uncle Sid thinks FFP stands for Fionas Free Phones down at the market he'll be more than happy to work his way around it and spend spend spend

PRE-SEASON RESULTS 2025/26

Pre season 2025.webp

DF: It's been a good, solid pre-season for us. The lads all reported back in the last week of June in good shape and we have worked with them over the summer preparing them for the vigours of the new season. I'm happy with performances in the friendly matches and the one I was best pleased with was the 1-0 victory over Wigan. We can now look forward to Leyton Orient on the 9th August. Ryan Croasdale is out for a couple of weeks with a heel injury and will return to the side at the end of the month but the injury is precautionary and he won't be risked.
