Having an issue with Steam. The software is running an update but it keeps getting stuck whilst 'extracting package' and never finishes. I'm looking for a fix and hopefully can get back online with this soon.

Have you checked the game's Properties >> Local Files >> Check Intergrity...? If so try deleting the local files and re-installing. It shouldn't affect your save.

I hope so Phil, we've invested a lot of emotion during this roll-o-COASTER ride and to lose it all after all this time.... I don't even wanna think about it.

After over a week of frustration and problems trying to get an update it was beginning to look like this was a lost cause and was about to all be over. Everything suggested was not working and I was about to give up. I decided to upgrade to Windows 10 and finally Steam updated allowing us to continue!

We are back!
