Piijt, you are living in cloud cuckoo land. The club needs a substantial injection of funds not just to progress and compete with the likes of the RS over the park, (or you happy to keep getting thumped in Derby games) but to actually merely survive. We are in for us what is a mountain of debt.

Coming from some one who lives in North Africa.......

WFT are you on about.

Why not have a British squad as well then, in fact a scouse squad.

Mate them days are gone. We need heavy investment, like yesterday. We need a big rich sugar daddy or we will never compete. City just raised the steaks an if we dont try an match them........

Were [Poor language removed]!!

Where are you in North Africa?

For me, the nationality of the sugar daddy doesn't really matter, as long as the person is a football fan, and "stable", by which I mean not like Thaksin Sinawatra, or be from a dodgy background or anything.

I really hope this Anil guy takes over, but it seems a bit too good to be true for my liking.

Spot on mate as long as they are reputable with no blood on their hands that will do me(y)

pijit i'm with you, but its not the foreigner thing that bothers me as much as the superrich billionaire tycoon thing. like you said, what happens when these wealthy people get bored with their playthings, what will happen when abramovic dies? do you think his heirs will be okay with losing that much money every year?

it seems the current climate of football is completely short-term minded, and having your club depend on the wealth of a single person doesn't seem that smart. so pijit, you're definitely in the minority with you're opinion, but you're certainly not alone.

how does arsenal's ownership work? i understand its a complex system, but where are the majority of its shareholders from?
