Because of lockdown, I met @alan ball in a pub car park off the M62 in Rainhill. Knew it was him right away, Everton shirt and ‘nil satis...‘ tattooed down each forearm. Within 20mins he took his shirt off to reveal the gallery of Goodison greats tattooed on his back. Alan Ball, Alex Young, Andy King, Tim Cahill and loads more.

Crazy Evertonian.

Showed me his tattoos in the away end at Ewood Park. Think we were 5 or 6 rows from the back of our stand. Him taking of his shirt caused a little avalanche of Evertonians wanting to take pictures of his very own wall of fame.

Met up with him on several occasions after that. As I said before top Evertonian and a generally good person. And of course I do have both his books, who are a great read.
