For a player, and for any human being there is nothing better than hearing- well done

I was always very pleasant even handing out warnings and sacking the work shy - "give 'em an inch..." - WELL IT WAS MY FCKIN' MONEY!

I work with the laziest, work shy bunch you'll ever encounter in a 'blame culture' environment fostered by incompetent middle management but still find that a congratulatory comment / encouragement (when due) is generally met by increased effort and a happier environment. Saying that there's some serious ass kicking going to happen in the New Year

My way or do one sonny.

does seem that way doesn't it.

I met SAF regularly when he was managing Aberdeen when he used to bring the younger guys (Neale Cooper, Bryn Gunn etc.) my workplace to play 5-a-side. Decent bloke, always willing to chat. Can't imagine Moyes engaging your average Joe in harmless banter.

Taggart's one of the best, even though he's bonkers about Van Persie getting killed! That's sticking up for your player and players with egos need that support, see Mourinho & Ronaldo.

Met him once and he was super friendly even though under a fair amount of pressure. Am sure he has his moody moments but I think he has a good relationship with his players. Doesn't seem an unhappy ship ATM and the boss must have something to do with it surely?
