That does sound enticing but Ive not yet had a look at what teams have bought who and im waiting for the day before season start before I do. I will keep that one in mind ;) .

That reminds me, was the "stupid" rumour on here true about Newcastle being favourites to finish higher than Everton true. Hope it is?

LOL what??

Just went looking at the odds on Ladbrokes and realised that it was Leeds 150/1 and not Newcastle who are shorter odds to win the title than Everton, who are 400/1.

So seeing as Leeds are 150/1 and
Everton 400/1
I thought I'm bound to get favourable odds on Everton but NO, Everton are 4/7 favourites in a one to one with Leeds.
HTF do they work that out  ?

EDIT; It may have been on Skybet?

Leeds 7/2 to be relegated and Everton 20/1.

I'm looking at the odds on Ladbrokes for the title,
Leeds 150/1
Everton 400/1 but Everton are favourites in a one to one between both teams.

I don't understand how this is possible?????

As I was now in the mood, just had my first small banker bet of the season,
Everton top 10, £20 pays out £32.

Come the end of the season, these little wins will have me quids in.

Edit. Changed it to £40, pays £64.62 back.

Only reason Leeds are so short on the odds, is cause they've got a crackpot fanbase, who genuinely think they're a boss team and going to take the league by storm.

Not entirely sure why.

The one bet which did catch my eye was Burnley top half finish 4/1.... behind Brighton, Leeds, Everton, Southampton and West Ham.... despite finishing in the top 10 twice in the last three seasons.

This. Bet a bit more than I was comfortable with during lockdown and took the nuclear option of registering with Gamstop for 6 months. Worth thinking about if you take a couple of hits everyone. Remember the golden rule: take a loss on the chin and never chase.
Must admit the lockdown has sorted my gambling out for the best. Not having a bet in 4 months and seeing my bank statements clear of deposits to bet365 has been an eye opener.

I think the top 9 is sorted
Man U
Man City
Everton
Liverpool
Spurs
Arsenal
Leicester
Wolves
Chelsea
and Burnley having to be next is not something I would go for.
Still good to read other people's thoughts cos it may give you a good bet you hadn't thought of ;) .

Also, if anyone wants to bet on Everon winning at Spurs, as two more new signings are soon to be announced, best do it now as the odds will probably shorten.

Yeah it's the weight of money going on Leeds from their fans who think they will win which shortens the odds, we are a more pessimistic fanbase it's why after 3 defeats we get quotes of relegation.

Yeah, so true Rollo.
As Leeds are a silly short 150-1 for the title, I just looked to see if there is any value in having a bet on them getting relegated.
There is none at all because the odds on them getting relegated is the same as West Ham's who are 500-1 for the title.

If you look at odds for top half, Europe, top 4, were above Leeds with shorter odds, so the market sticks.

The bookies would be terrified of a Leicester happening again.
