Defenders just bounce off me, they cant handle my close control and strength.

Im absolutely gutted- I am top scorer for my side this season, in the form of my life and I got sent off at the weekend for the fist time in 16 years of playing senior football.

I got sent off after 5 minutes for apparently kicking out. A defender was sheperding a ball out of play and as the ball went out he tried to shoulder barge me, I put my hand on his back and puch forward and lifted my foot.

Never a sending off- even their manager said he would state that it want if i wanted to appeal.

Trouble is its a 28 day ban and we only have 4 league games left. Just hope I can appeal and get it rescinded.

Anyone else gone through a similar appeal process?

Unfortunatly mate, i don't think you'l be successful with your appeal. Had sort of a similar thing with a teammate once. Got sent off for something like that which meant he would miss our cup final 5 days before his 28 day ban.

The county FA would not show any leiniency whatsoever and the lad was gutted - he even offered to pay more to his fine but they were having none of it.

Never seen red in 20 years on the pitch but I'm becoming a bit of a yellow card magnet in my old age.

I did attend an appeal for a guy who saw red for pushing me after scoring a pen!

When it went in my left back looked at me and said you went the wrong way you tw**! I replied candidly that "he done me with the eyes" not realizing the taker had cross eyes. It was then he lost it and started pushing me and threatening to "cut you up bruv!"

I did attend an appeal on his behalf saying I thought it was harsh he got the red after what I said, although I had not realized he had a problem with his eyes. League agreed and scrapped his fine, but the ban stood as he threatened me with extreme violence with threatening to cut me up!

Come on Mick, we all know it was a fore arm smash in the back and him falling over your leg which was aimed at his parts. Be a man and admit it.

Had my appeal last week- it was very official and had to go to the local FA and state my case. Unbelievably I got let off! Ive had my fine refunded and my good name remains untarnished- whoop!
