Someone tells me freddie flinttof has retired if so its a shame so young.Who in your opinion was the better all rounder botham or freddie

Botham still rules although he hung around longer than he should. Flintoff would have run him closer without the injuries and the drinking.

Yep, he's retired "from all forms of cricket" so it says on the beeb. Not a massive cricket fan, but genuinely sad to see his career end this way.

Would have to be Botham as the stats dont lie however both of them are true inspirations of their time and were both just as vital to the team

Sorry , Mc , didn't see this . I LOOKED an' all !!!

Ho-hum .

Botham played in a better side than Flintoff . Fred's knees were worse than Beefy's back , in that he could at least STILL bowl , he re-modelled his action , but could still turn his arm over .

For me ; Fred with the ball . Beefy with the bat .

Both BOSS slippers .

Fitting his last game was winning the Ashes back for England.
Immensely talented player who never did quite achieve what he could have. Boss big game player. That over v Ponting in 2005 one of the best in history.
