I see that one of the hacks on the local paper has noted that 11 years in a row the first Derby is at GP.

You'd think they'd then go on to question the likelihood of that occurring without intervention wouldn't you? Not a bit of it.

Thus proving, if any were needed, they're hopeless arse rags for the clubs.

2048/1 on oddschecker

Not that it means too much considering our capacity to beat decent teams and drop points against poor ones, but I think it's encouraging that our fixtures seem fairly spread out. Man Utd and Arsenal away back to back is as much of a "horror run" I can see on paper.

Cringing a bit at the poster Everton have out up on Facebook.

'19th of April, David Moyes returns to Goodison'

No mention of our CURRENT manager's first home game. Get over him ffs

It's getting on my nerves to be honest. Kenwright annoyed me in the press conference with his 'it took me 30 seconds to decide on Moyes but 45 seconds to decide on Martinez'. How ****ing rude when he's sat right next to him! If I was Martinez I would have just turned and stared at him in disbelief. Moyes ditched us for a bigger club, he deserves our respect for what he did at the club but none of this pining for him, it's pathetic.

We've moved on, and rightly or wrongly, i'm looking forward to next season more than i would have if was Moyes still in charge.

Different manager now, hopefully this means a change in fortunes on the poor teams results front mate.
At the very least the easy (relatively) start to the season will give our players time to adapt to any system changes in a competitive environment, whilst not having the learning curve against world class oponents.

Not sure what to make of the fixtures tbh. Someone NEEDs to give us an explanation about why the derby is at goodison first again

Alan Myers, the People's PR man and all round good egg, will answer this I reckon.

Spot on, we are Everton Football Club not Moyes F C.

Is the a reason the Derby is always at ours first? Or is it just pure coincidence? 11 years in a row is a bit nuts.
In past years people have claimed it is a specific request from EFC. No idea if that's true or why we would request it but that's what I have heard people say.

I think it is a form of desperation with supporters of Liverpool FC, they say they are now fixated on finishing behind us in the league, but everything they seem to say and do contradicts this.

They say Martinez will take us down, but wanted to give him their job twelve months ago.
They are spending money, but it seems that as with ourselves their budget is now reliant on player sales first and even then they are not able to sign the pick of the crop.
It is a big season for Everton and their new manager,it is an even bigger one for our neighbours and their not so new manager.
The longer they stay out of the top 4,the further back they continue to slip.

Its seems that the rs are trying to buy their way into the top 4 again, lets hope they lose ratboy.
