Never cease to be amazed by the fact that, despite the prevalence of sports science in elite football, all the cutting edge technology that comes with it, and all the years of research on which it is founded, random football fans still think they are better at judging individual and collective fitness levels by eye.

Bernard should get the stick Deulofeu gets. The lad's blowing for tugs after 55 minutes.
Wouldn’t be such an issue if we had decent back up on the bench but alas we do not.

Our fitness levels are crap but I guess we’ve had a fair few different fitness coaches over the past couple of years, I know Silva was here a while but correct me if I’m wrong I think his initial number 2 who left did a lot of the fitness stuff? That’s never going to be ideal

I think it's more simple and perhaps more psychological: these cowards dont enjoy being out there with the pressure of a 90 minute game.

I mentioned this during the game, as we were taking a corner in around the 65th minute it showed all our players puffing, hands on knees in the box waiting for Digne to take the corner and a stat came up in the corner saying Brighton had collectively ran 4km further than us. Yet we're the ones looking knackered, I can forgive DCL and Richarlison as they've played every single game over christmas and Rich had a knock.
