I can only be arsed predator fishing too. Someone told me there are a few catfish in the damn up in the tops, I'm off to hunt them in a week or two.

Would love to hook into one of these beasts though. a Goliath Tigerfish. Eep.

Mutant fish with taste for human flesh attacks swimmers in Indian river


A giant mutant fish is believed to be targeting swimmers in an Indian river after developing a taste for human flesh.
The goonch, a huge type of catfish, is believed to have been feeding on corpses thrown into the Great Kali after funeral ceremonies.
Locals have believed for years that a mysterious monster lurks in the water, but now they think it has moved on from scavenging to attacking swimmers venturing into the river, along the India-Nepal border.

The Tigerfish is in the Congo I think. Those monster catfish in India are horrifying though, the same guy caught one of those too, although the bigger ones he'd have no chance with - they are rumoured to be over 500lb - he hooked into something and it just sailed away with no effort and snapped his 200lb line like cotton.

I absolutely buzzed off crabbing in Bournemouth when I was about 10.

I never expanded the interest in to adult life, but I can dig the buzz when something bites on the line.

By a wall mount, do you mean you had it stuffed or had a plaster cast of it done ?

Just got back Two nights ago. Trying to catch up with all the posts.

Wall Mount actual fish ( Stuffed ) not a plaster Cast. The Fish is a Cross of a native North America trout called a Cutthroat and the Rainbow trout. The Cross is Sterile so I do not feel bad for killing it and putting it on my office wall.

This year no Huge fish for me, but loads of fun. 8 days of fishing in boats in a lake. Tons of alcohol and tons of fish. Will post a few pics when I get a chance. Freaking Cold though. The lake is just outside of Yellowstone in Idaho.
