Probably already been a thread so apologies....but just saw this on Blue Kipper.

Everton 1 Norwich 5 / October 9th 1993 / Att:20,631

Everton: Southall, Holmes, Hinchcliffe, Ebbrell, Jackson, Ablett, Ward, Horne, Cottee, Rideout, Beagrie

Scorer: Rideout

I was 4 years old still remember it like it was yesterday even though until the age of 7 most things are a blur! We scored 1st but we got beat 5-1. In the end Ekoku scored 4. I'd been to the odd reserve game and a couple of friendlies but from then on that was it. I was from a family of staunch blues anyway and thank god for that. As a kid me dad used to go the long way around Anfield in the car if he ever had to go that way, just to avoid it. Can ya smell it, poo! HA HA; its little things like that, that stick in the mind. Its true what they say we are born, we are special and no explanation is needed to understand! Even with the bad result that day I've had a season ticket from the season after that! 10 years now and we've been through a lot but its in our blood. Anon (12/04/05)

I was bloody mascot that day!!!! :(

I remember my first match, but I don't remember who it was against.
I was about 3 years old ( about 71 ) and our opponents played in red and white stripes.
I clearly remember the cup of OXO that I was allowed a sip from my dad too.

can you remember the scoreline?

i couldn't remember what year i was mascot so i googled the scoreline and oppositon to find the date.

I've still got Peter Beagrie's shin pads. somewhere.:)

I'm only a young lid compared to you lot, but my first first-team match was one where we got beat by Sheffield wednesday...I think 3-1? Di Canio, Pembridge and Ferguson all scored I think.

Nope, but we did score.
You don't forget 40,000 fans screaming at that age lol.

My first match was against Derby County. We won 2-0 , I can't remember the year, but me and me dad were in the Park End when it looked like the Gwladys. I spent most of the match looking around the stadium , amazed at how big it was

I remember the first time i sat on the 3rd tier of the main stand.

When i saw the escalators i thought bloody heck, where am I? When i sat at my seat I remember thinking. Don't lean forward or you'll fall off. Its steep up there...:D I was only little.

That first time in the Top Balcony is frightening:). But it's ok once you get past that Whooooo! feeling:D

Same, very first time I went to Goodison we sat in the Top Balcony for a friendly against Manchester United (Jordi Cruyff scored a hat trick in a 3-2 win). I remember walking across the seats verrrrry nervously.

I cant remember my first game....I think I was 6 when my dad took me...he used to take me to the GSE, in the corner by the boys pen (God I'm sounding like Kenwrong now!).

I used to stand on a little fold-up wooden stool, but it was feckin useless, as every time we scored someone behind would kick it in the melee and I'd go flyin!

So then he used to sit me on the barrier but again when we scored, I'd go flyin...and endup being passed back over peoples heads once the scrum had died down.

Happy days

I remember being in the Gwladys street when Don Hutchinson scored off his back.

Nice finish Don, shame the ref disallowed it. Then admitted in his Bio that he was wrong.
