Scored from a cross/shot as we crumbled to a pitiful 2-1 defeat at Sheffield United in the Rumbelows Cup as Brian Deane absolutely beasted us.

Nothing has changed.

...at least it wasn’t against Southampton.

I’ve just looked the game up and apparently it actually went down as an own goal.

Which is just great. My first Everton goal was scored by some Sheffield United grock.

My first goal live at a match was a David Seaman own goal. I was 6 or 7 and was sat on a barrier, we score, noise and limbs everywhere so I fall off the barrier, bang my head and start crying. As you implied we should have known better there and then about our ensuing misery.
