ha same, i did it to annoy me nana who i was watching it with as she was passionately for the red team. it stuck despite us losing that day, joined the fan club the season after and gobbled up a history book or two.

First goal of my life was scored by Alex Scott in a 2-1 win at Blackburn in March 1964. First goal I saw live was scored in March 1972 in a 3-2 home defeat against Man City by the legend that was Rod Belfitt!!

Scored from a cross/shot as we crumbled to a pitiful 2-1 defeat at Sheffield United in the Rumbelows Cup as Brian Deane absolutely beasted us.

Nothing has changed.

I’ve just looked the game up and apparently it actually went down as an own goal.

Which is just great. My first Everton goal was scored by some Sheffield United grock.
