Finally a manager with a spine.

He's been in charge for one Premier League game.

Can we at least wait a while before attributing character attributes to a guy we basically know nothing about? We made that mistake with Moyes after the "People's Club" claptrap and look what happened there.

Martinez is an employee of Everton who is paid to do a job. That's all we know right now.

Reminds me of Dirk Kuyt.

Lets make no mistake the reason he stood up to utd was because the offer was crap lets see how he reacts when an offer of 40m wings its way down the east Lancs then we might see whats he made of.

Of course RM would accept £40m. Particularly because he doesn't see Fellaini fitting in with what he wants and would prefer McCarthy. So selling Fellaini would be a win all round. It wouldn't be a matter of him folding and doing something he doesn't want to do.

Moyes would never have told anyone about the bids, I actually think it was naive for the club to do so, all it is really saying is that this is what Man U have offered, who can offer more

So how is that naive? If we are willing to sell then isn't that exactly the right statement to have put out?

I actually think RM sounds and looks very weak and unsure when he speaks. Looks like a lost child about to burst into tears.

Mate I've no problems with that (McCarthy at the right price) as long as it's his choice to sell.

Since you know that Martinez does not see Fellaini fitting into his plans ( I don't know how you came to this conclusion )

Can you tell me what cereal he has in the morning??

Seriously, people need to read the excutioners bong and see that Fellaini fits into the system spot on. He needs Gibson back or another defensive minded player next to him, maybe McCarthy. But not McCarthy to replace.

I know i take the mickey out of McCarthy and undermine his value, but a lot of people are putting him on a pedestal and devaluing the work Fellaini does.

If Moyes didn't have a spine, I'm impressed he was able to stand on the touchline. He's a genuine medical marvel. Maybe he had a robotic spine? Does that still count as having a spine? I'm not sure

Thank You kind sir, you've given me much to mull

I think he has an external skeleton like an insect, hence the rough and hard surfaced face.

Re Moyes, he says what his employers want him to say, he is the ultimate corporate guy - he's loyal to his current BoD just like he was at Everton. Rightly or wrongly ( rightly in my opinion) he does what he has to do for his employers, no more no less.
