I wouldn't criticise Everton's record under David Moyes in the transfer market....however the comment that has most surprised me about David Moyes since he left to join Utd...came from David Moyes himself.

I althought David Moyes was a tough Glasweigan lad that would face into anything and not step back from anything.I thought he was a man that thought he would win every game and took defeat personally.

This is more or less what I believed of him only to find that he said that Everton felt they were always lucky to get out of Utd alive. Did that also apply to Chelsea and Liverpool and Arsenal...it would appear so. It it any wonder that our record against certain teams was so poor because the manager himself believed we had no chance.

To a degree it may also explain our better record against City because he was used to beating them before their mega funds appeared and he didn't have time to develop his inferiority complex.
