Player Valuation: £35m
I think based on where we are now, after 33 games, we will finish 6th. Not bad, but not great

Oh and btw, people seem to overestimate the amount of money you get from the Champions League group stages.
This season it was £6m guaranteed revenue for reaching the group stage, £800k for a win and £400k for a draw.
We'll actually get about four times as much from the new TV deal, which all clubs will be given. Champions League money is not going to revolutionise our finances. The amount you gain from the CL has a lot more to do with the popularity of the club already, and progressing out of the groups.
By getting to the final, yeah.
Do you honestly think it would only take 46 million to buy and pay the players who we'd need to get us to a CL final?
Your just referring to prize money, and totally disregarding TV money from Champions League. The Scottish clubs pick up about 17million just through reaching the group stages when you add all the different revenue streams.
An extra 17million pound+ more than your competitors would have a major impact on Everton. It would stop losses, and decrease the need to sell your best players before investing. If players were sold then there would be no loss to cover, making your investment back in the squad greater.
Then there is all the prestige with it. I can't believe we are even discussing this. The benefits of qualifying for the Champions League are considerable, and they absolutely dwarf the 'benefits' of the Europa League.
Where did I say or infer that?
I was merely correcting his post about the value of the CL, as it's a cash cow.
As not only is there the participation money, the TV money & the gate receipts, there's the fact that your sponsorship value is massively increased as a result of being a part of it. To get the maximum return in this regard you'd have to establish yourself as a regular, but as Spurs proved when they had the dual shirt sponsors, there's plenty to be made just by getting there once.
The gap in finances between us and the big boys is so so huge.
It'll take far more than a single trip to the group stage to close that.
Our aim should be to win cups, full stop.
If you don't understand the joy of reaching a european quarter final and beating lyon and inter along the way, I don't get why you watch football, tbh.
Winning a cup will do **** all to bridge the gap that you acknowledge is huge.
The only way to close the gap is to get our snouts in the CL trough that they've all been feasting on for years.

Man U got 46 million for a yeah they reached in the final. They spent way more than 46 milion to get a team good enough to do that.
The rewards of doing well are always less than the cost of doing well.
No, winning a cup would mean winning something. That's sort of what football is about. Not making £17m.
It wouldn't. We'd still be in the same position, best of the rest. In fact that £17m would become even less impactful with the new Domestic TV deal because all clubs will be receiving an extra £20-30m anyway.
That's drivel lad.
United made a £22m profit in the last 6 months of last year & the club is now valued at circa £3BN.
United have got themselves into that position by being one of the top sides in Europe. Without competing in the CL & the money that it directly & indirectly generates that simply wouldn't be the case.
