Final game at Goodison - confirmed Sunday 18 May, 12PM

I assume for a many it will be like a final pilgrimage to Goodison.
There are a lot more than 36 000 Everton fans alive who have sampled the big match atmosphere and want one more fix before we move on.
They've had years to do the "final pilgrimage" mate. I'm sorry but just standing around the ground while the game is on, is imo, absolutely asinine. They could be in the pubs actually watching the match. I don't get it and I likely never will.

Watching in the pubs around Goodison wasn't what was being talked about. The discussion was about the people who intend to just stand outside the Bullens, the Gwladys, the Park End ect while the game is on. You don't need to play the I've been to x amount of games card mate. I don't doubt that you're a true supporter. I simply think that mindlessly standing outside the ground while the game is on is utterly moronic.
Point I was making is that most of the fans including myself who are going down to GP have gone to games in the past and never caused trouble. Why would this game be any different? Why would fans just pointlessly stand outside while game was on? I assume everyone on here going without tickets will watch game in pub. As I said it's a bit different Blues wanting to experience match day at GP for last time and thousands of RS pointlessly spending money to travel to France when they don't have tickets. If fans want to stand outside GP and just listen to atmosphere, so what? If I was you I'd be more worried about the lads getting coked of their heads in street end bogs, than people outside. Idiots will be idiots no matter what the occasion is, sensible people will be sensible.

"The Club and Merseyside Police have respectfully requested that fans without a ticket for the match do not travel to Goodison or gather around the stadium."

Have they ever requested that from the other lot? This is their lot during covid lockdown.

What do you expect after PC Bellend was on Twitter during lockdown telling everyone how many RS games he had been to. No mention of their fans behaviour around Liver Building. Hardly surprising they never caught RS who attacked City Coach.

I get the point he’s making. I don’t think he’s saying you’re going to deliberately cause trouble, just that a load of ticketless fans being there causes trouble itself, regardless of intent. I’m not saying don’t go, but fact is it’s true that the experience of match going fans with tickets is likely to be impacted if there’s a large amount of ticketless fans turning up too. You can of course say you don’t care about that, but I don’t really think there’s any argument that it’s a genuine point.

Apologies for being harsh yesterday, morons ect was a bit much. I do stand by my original point that thousands of people just loitering around outside Goodison will inevitably have a negative and possibly dangerous effect. Loads of you clearly disagree and that's absolutely fine, its not like I have the power to stop you going or would use it even if I did. I just think that the whole idea is very daft and a bit cringeworthy.
