Pleasing everyone was never going to happen. Personally I'm happy the last game under the lights was the Derby, the atmosphere that night won't be matched. We all knew this was the last season at Goodison, enjoying the last season in its entirety should be the way we look back at the last days at the Grand Old Lady, rather than trying to force it out in the last match

We've literally got a whole day to bask and indulge Goodison on her final farewell thanks to it being an early kick.

Am happy with it.

I mean for me part of the experience was going to be doing the old routine one last time. The pub and chippy before the game and all that. 12 just takes that out of the equation which is a shame. Early kickoffs are hated by pretty much all match going fans of all teams though in my experience.

Either way, it was always going to [Poor language removed] a proportion of the fanbase. You can't please everyone.

Can't please everyone but I don't think anyone wants to go to a match at that time on a Sunday especially.

Last ever matchday there and the normal routine of a few pints before the game will have to be at 10am if the pubs open early.

Plus last home game fans are going to want to get in the ground early rather than just before kick off and you're getting in the ground on Sunday morning.

Ok I get that but you can do little pub tour after the game which is what I intend to do.

How inconvenienced would people really be if it was a Monday night game compared to this?

Why couldn’t we have the later slot on the Sunday as well?

It's a load of cobblers. How does a 12 noon ko help Southampton fans ? No train from Southampton will get them here for that time so it's coach or car for them just as it would be for a late game.
