Well the pricing is the pricing isn't it? They're unlikely to reschedule it but with half price tickets. My understanding is that there just wasn't a huge amount of interest in it - and was actually a quite overtly negative reaction to it - so they canned it. I've said before, I just don't think we have the fanbase for that type of thing whether in terms of numbers or disposable income. Some clubs can milk stuff because they have fans who will travel over from the other side of the world for a legends game or whatever as it'll be their only ever visit to the ground. We just don't have that, and so you end up asking the same people who are already putting their hands in their pockets to go to actual games to support this type of thing and it's a lot to ask of an overwhelmingly working class local support.
I think they used Carsley getting the England job as the timing issue. There was an international break when it was scheduled. Could have done it without Carsley.
