Recommend a film mate. Not the complete opposite.

A book?

The Departed - great cast, great director, great movie.
Runaway Train - surprisingly good. Mind you, it does have Denzel in it.
Inception - stunning.
Chinatown - all time classic.
Che - Lengthy, but worth watching.

That reminded me of 'The Motorcycle Diaries' Story of young Ernesto's trip round South America with his mate on a motorbike. Great film

I'm filling up my rental list on my Lovefilm account and am looking for recommendations and suggestions from anyone interested in contributing.

Don't just throw a title at me though, sell it to me, show some passion.

If you can find a foreign, subtitled film, called Black Cat, White Cat, watch it! It's awesome. About a bunch of gypsy types that have magicalish powers and a marriage proposal/criminal deal gone wrong. It's really brilliant and won a few awards a few years back. It has a great soundtrack and you can even watch it on youtube in several parts. It's a very relaxing nice film.

Here's a clip which demonstrates the nature of the film:

The one film i would recommend is Freebird, made by the people who made Layer Cake.
It’s the story of 3 bikers, Grouch (Phil Daniels) Fred (Gary Stretch) & Tyg (Geoff Bell) on a mission to Wales to secure a deal on a new strain of weed that can grow out doors in the British climate.
As a biker myself it’s the best bike road trip film ever made and it’s one of the best British films ever.
There’s a segment in the film where their out of their trees on mushrooms which is a killer.

Fallen with Denzel Washington is a great film

POINT BREAK=brilliant film with action, adrenaline.about a group of bank robbers who've robbbed 27 banks in 3 years & cant be caught & they dress up as ex presidents.Keanu Reeves,Patrick Swayze & Gary Busey bit of humour aswell.
WHITE MEN CAN'T JUMP=Excellent film plenty of humour a good little comedy about basketball hustlers all trying to make money.Woody Harrelson & Wesley Snipes. lots of ups & downs through out & lots of mad characters.
JERRY MAGUIRE=Good little film about a sports agent at the top of his game who loses everything & has to work right back to the top,Tom Cruise & Cuba Gooding jnr plenty of laughs, bit of sporting action some love & emotion aswell but pretty good film.
So hows that then?

Been watching a lot of trash and even the odd quality film lately, both old and new.
Highlights:

X-Men First Class - actually not bad at all.
Bad Teacher - Diaz carries this one. Not a good film, but I liked nonetheless.
Unknown - similar to Taken. Liam Neeson kicking ass.
Wanted - Angelina Jolie can beat me up any day of the week
Adjustment Bureau - Quality adaption of a Philip K Dick story
Transformers 3 - Much better than the 2nd one
Kiss of the Dragon - Great Kung fu with Jet Li, but the best thing in this is Bridget Fonda
Robocop - all these riots got me thinking about this one...
Galaxy Quest - Under-rated comedy. Stands up well today.
A Few Good Men - Just love this. Could watch it over and over again.

If you're lucky enough to find this gem, it's funny a f@ck
