anyone done career mode with everton? its only november 2016 and lukaku wont sign contract and looks like he wants to leave....is there anyway of keeping him?

past fifa's the board have always sold him:rant:

I remember one trick in previous games was put him up for a short loan instead. If he will get sold then he will be sold, nothing you can do. But if you put him up for a short loan and someone comes in for him quite quick then it resolves the issue,

Alternatively just sell him to the first big bid you get, once he is sold he will go for half the value he is worth for some weird reason.

ah okay mate thanks. wasnt sure if winning a cup or league position would have any effect on him staying.
 

Just took Levante and got them promoted to Liga 1. Then took a job at Everton. Got Lukaku a nice new three years on his contract (as if that means anything) got Ross locked in and turning Holgate into a future star (he's got 82 potential)

I have done a career mode with Everton, I didn't have a problem with Lukaku, kept him on a decent length contract, but I was doing well, winning things and in the champions league. I couldn't get Barkley to sign though, he basically said he was off at the end of the season, he was valued at about £20m, but kept getting bids of £10m and £12m from Chelsea and Arsenal. I ended up doing a swap with him for Ziyech from Ajax, he was valued at £25m, so I did Barkley plus £5m and got him.

If you cant get Lukaku to sign best bet might be to use his value in a swap deal, otherwise you might just get cheeky offers.

One thing I read in a fifa forum is that any money you have at then end of one year doesn't roll over into the next year. So it said to use the excess money to get players you are going to sell onto massive contracts. Then complete the season and start the new one, you can then get rid of the players on the large salaries (you have to swap them, you wont be able to sell them as they never agree terms with the new team!) but you then get their massive wages back, into your transfer fund.

oh he signed mate. in 3rd season now. im now rejecting bids from psg/bayern of around 80 million for him.
 
my experience with player mode is whatever team I am with stockpiles mediocre forwards and CBs. meanwhile you're trotting out a bunch of players rated in their 60s in midfield.

i've actually had a team spunk 25m on a striker never to play him. i think he got in one match out of 20something.

even weirder had one month go by at Everton with ONE GK. they brought someone in, sold Robles (this was last year), Howard was gone and that was it.

weirdest of all was on a on-loan first season once on '14 the team sold so many players that an injury bug hit and they couldn't field 11. had to forfeit like 5 matches in a row. no joke. unbelievable.
 
Sold Rom recently and bought Immobile. He's banging them in. Also sold Ross to Barcelona and signed Gylfi Sigurdsson. No reason. ;)
 
Rolled out my "let's go to the fireworks factory" lineup for the first time in career mode and it did not disappoint.

Scored on my first attack. Almost scored on the second attack. Chances all over the shop. Led 5-1 at halftime away to Palace, who somehow are in the Champions League*. Cruised from there.

Next game I put 12 on Bournemouth. Unreal speed and skill up front.

* - Rangers and Mainz are also in the CL while Real Madrid, Chelsea, Dortmund, and Man City are all in the Europa League! Unbelievable.
