I can't wait for it to come out. Finally got a Nintendo DS, now I need a football game. I was bummed they didn't release the Euro game for the DS. I didn't see Goodison listed as a park in FIFA but maybe after we make the Champions league they'll get it in there!

fifa, or footy games for that matter are not great on the DS.

DS games to look out for are mariokart, zelda, tiger woods golf. oh and tetris still has all the charm from the original.

Tetris is really good, as I've had a chance to play it. I have Brain Age and Advanced Wars and have seen Mariokart plus a bunch of others. Still, when it is all you have you make due and I want FIFA 09! Are they any better on the Wii? We're getting one for the house this Xmas so that will be an option too.

The other game I really want is the Professor Lawton (?) and the Curious Village. I love puzzles and here great things about that game.

get an R4DS card, download em all for nothing and run homebrew apps, view ebooks, play mp3's, view pics .....only cost about £35 with micro sd card. i've got about 160 games for nothing.(y)

Ive just realised what you can do with a PSP and a PS3.

Im in a wireless swedish hot-tub.

Sports games are incredibly awful on portable systems. For footie games I've always liked Pro Evo over EA's FIFA. Sports Sims also aren't very good on the Wii either.

If you got a DS buy these games:

The World Ends With You (my favorite game this year)

Hotel Dusk (its rare and you'll have to get it on Ebay)

The Brain Age games are actually pretty good

Advance Wars

Fire Emblem (out for the GBA and the Wii but not our for the DS yet) - The Fire Emblem games are similar to advance wars only I think they are better.

Professor Layton does look pretty good. I'll probably get it soon.

using the word "buy" is obviously code for "download/rip-off"(y)

I've heard that FIFA got a lot better last year on the DS. I need to check out Pro Evolution more as it does seem to be another popular choice.

I've heard of the slot one cards, so I'll have to do my homework and see what they do.

Ferrari Challenge DS is quality. I was thinking about getting rid of my DS due to the lack of decent games coming out, but I picked this up at the airport and it was a real surprise. I hadn't heard anything about it but took a punt and it's amazing. Graphics are superb, plays well and plenty of stuff to keep you occupied for a while.

I'm only really interested in sports and racing games, and this is by far the best racer I've played on DS (y)

As for FIFA, I had 06 on DS and it was ok let down by a few bugs. Last year's was apparently quite good though so no reason why 09 shouldn't be worth a look. Pro Evo is my footballing game of choice on home consoles but it's supposed to be shockingly bad on DS.

i had the ferrari chalenge on but no instructions so took it off, only prob with downloading is you cant always get instructions.
r4ds is the best card to get, i have a link for downloads too if you want it.
*turn a blind one danny

fifa street is pretty good but i cant get the hang of the footy games
