FFP Pressures this summer

This is a very good summary.

Essentially longer term we have to get the wages down and keep under control, and short term we need to plug the gap with sales.

Dyche is probably the perfect manager for this situation. It may involve recruiting more from the championship.

My own view is we should never have moved away from the template Moyes brought in, so if we can go back to that as a basis, all the better.

Yup, we're mainly still paying the price for those wasteful splurges in the first 2 or 3 seasons of Moshiri.

The difficulty is not many seem to have that ability to keep spotting cheap gems..... even Moyes may have lost that touch.

We have also lost a backer who seemed to be keen to sponsor absolutely anything to keep pushing our income column up. This would've included the stadium itself so, longer term, while the stadium costs don't directly affect FFP, at some point those interest payments will affect our bottom line.... and without significant sponsorship, it's not yet clear if the increased matchday income covers that too. If that funding model has been equally as scattergun as the initial onfield model, then there may still be a shortfall.
