Fernandes Snag!

The priemer leauge passed a ruling today that outlaws third part ownership, doesnt make reference to loans but i would imagine the same rules apply.

I suppose this really does make a Manny permenent move porblamatic as we would have to agree a fee with his third party owners and Valencia if what we are led to beleive is true!

"Premier League clubs did ratify a new rule to outlaw third-party ownership of players to avoid future controversies such as the Carlos Tevez saga.
In future, clubs will have to buy out all third-party owners so that they own players' registrations completely."

I still don't know who the hell owns Carlos Tevez. I don't even think Tevez knows.

PS: didn't they already have this rule? Or did they just suspend for a few years so that the [Poor language removed] could take Mascherano.

In some peoples opinion he is, not in mine.

I think fernandes has more natural skill than arteta, but Arteta knows when to use it and when not to - (eg: not outside our own box - like fernandes does someitmes)

Abit of coaching and fernandes would be great.

Again thats your opinion and your entitled to it, i think your wrong though. For me Arteta is a truly gifted footballer who would grace most sides, Manny has some skill but doesnt know how to use it and flatters to decieve. I will also never forgive him for last summer

I can't see Fernandes staying with us. It seems too complicated. We'd have to make a deal with both Kia and Valencia and I'm thinking that combined they would want at least 5M each.

Well id be happy iwth Fernandes, not only is he a good player...But his set-pieces are great!!

Arteta needs to get practicing freekicks over the summer...

Shame really but I had a feeling it wouldn't happen. Hopefully it will as he's such a talented boy. Huddlestone is probably the alternative. Same position and similar styles of play.

Is Fernandes definatly still part owned? I'm not so sure. And he definatly isn't part owned by the same people as Tevez and Masherano. He's owned by a Portugues company.

I'd also like to know which of our midfielders actually do control games? Arteta certainly doesn't and neither do Pienaar and Osman. Cahill also doesn't but it isn't his style of play. No midfielder in our team has since Gravesen in the 04/05 season and even that was brief as he'd been average for four years before that season.

Fernandes has shown he can control a game in periods. The Arsenal game springs to mind as do the Newscastle and Blackburn games. He certainly has the attributes. Vision, strength and the ability to retain possession. Until we stop the hoofing no one will be able to run games. That is a fact.

Seen him control games on many an occasion. On blob Arteta is untouchable
