Fernandes - post-season views

Just a reminder to everyone again but WE are in the driver's seat on this one, NOT Valencia.

They overpaid, we didn't.

If we want him, we'll put in what we think is a REASONABLE bid (when has Moyes done anything different?)

If Valencia accept it, then great. If not, then no skin off our back and we use that money somewhere else.

I'd like to have him here on a permanent basis. That said, I trust Moyes on this one like I have on all of his other signings. He's doesn't get it right all the time but he's got a pretty darn good track record in the transfer market.
 
what so he passes to him every time? where do you sit in the ground? can you see the movement off the ball?
 

Fernandes is the best passser in this squad. He is the only player in our sqaud with the vision to play a through ball. I can remember 4/5 through balls this season and I remember alot more last season.

Saying he fails to do it is quite frankly bollocks. How many through balls have Osman, Pienaar and Arteta played in there 30 odd appearences this season. I can remember Pienaar making 1 or 2 but other than that not many. Artet and Osman haven't.

I think he might be saying the recent matches our player has lack of form and fitness to move around, so no matter how well Fernandes plays he couldn't delivery the killer pass unless there is movement in front of him.

Basically saying due to the improvement to our front man movement we are seeing what Fernandes is capable of doing.
 
The thing with Fernandes is he's been very hot and cold.

On his day, hes fantastic. No doubt. But we cant afford to pay over £5,6m for luxury type players, we need consistency.

At the right price, sign him up, he always has sell on value.

To suggest at the moment that Fernandes is better than Arteta is a bit daft.

You defend Fernandes' early form by saying he wasn't fit, Arteta has been carrying an injury for most of the season.

If you had to pick either Fernandes or Arteta to remain at the club for next year, it would be Arteta hands down.

Fernandes does show signs every now and again of pure quality though. He's one of them players, the jury is still out on him. If Moyes can settle him into a position and get him hungry and happy, am sure he would be one great asset.
