Evidence..... evidence.... evidence..... hmmmm.......

Always difficult getting both sides of the story when one side has shot dead the other. Seems a fact an awful lot have difficulty recognising. Black though - deserved it.
Right, no evidence. Just the casual racist assumption that white people hate black people and that is what's going on here. Even though there is a larger issue of what justifies deadly force and that things like this happen to white people too.

Sigh. Arguing the particular case is moot. There will be no indictment. Justice was, or was not, served.

Let's not lose sight of the real issues that have been brought to light by this case: Police militarization, law enforcement discrimination, and the continued prejudice against people of color in America.

You could probably add poor police training to the list as well. Shoplifting really shouldn't end in death if the only person with a weapon is the cop.

Do you live in St. Louis?

Jdawg does and seems to think it's a reasonable assumption. I do as well from NC (another 'borderish' state).

Ian Tomlinson had attacked the pig that kileld him, allegedly, three stories were coughed up before the pigs got wind of it being caught on camera.

Power corrupts, and putting deadly force in the hands of the corrupted means the victims occasionally are a bit too dead to give their side. But at least the witnesses the pigs have dragged up agree with their side. Yeah.

The fans and even the children fans that died that day were drunk.

Shame!

Anyone else see/read the transcript of what he said in response to questions from the grand jury? [Poor language removed] racism and all that, he calls the kid a demon and also refers to him as "it" - he is (was) a human being ffs.

Plus, verdict was given, right or wrong - unlikely for anyone to change anything at the moment - there's plenty of inconsistencies in the reports and confessions - the distance from the police car (he was shot 150 feet away from it, Darren Wilson claims it happened "right next to the car"), the officer himself saying things that the pictures/videos show to be wrong, like how long it took them to tend to the body and at first the claims were he attacked him, then it turned out he had his hands behind his back, and so on and so on. What I'd really like to know is why has this 18 year old - 1) been shot 12 times - was it necessary really, that amount of shots?; and 2) was left there, lying dead, for several hours before being taken in?

Also something's really fishy how the excuse of the medics about the autopsy photos not being there is "we ran out of battery on the camera"... amongst many other similarly suspicious things.

What are you going on about

I will never accept that it is "reasonable" to assume that someone did or thought something based on the color of his skin. In this particular case, there is no evidence that race was a motivator (other than the fact the cop was white and apparently some people think that's enough). I have no idea what the St. Louis police department has or has not done in other cases but, even if you think they disproportionately target minorities, assuming an individual has the same qualities as a larger group to which the individual belongs is a classic logical fallacy.

Like all black people are more inclined to be involved in crime and therefore deserve shooting.

Ta.

Who in the world has seriously said this? Or are you just pointing out another faulty argument, the straw man argument?

The fortunate thing for the straw man is you can stuff him with a bit more straw and he's back to normal. Sticking bullets into children, teenagers and young adults is a slightly more complicated matter when it comes to putting it right. Hence the lies and forced testimony from those that dont want some of the same....

Jeb Bush in next mate?

Jeb Bush would be obvious next step in the progression of this discussion, but I don't know anything about him.

Suppressed the black vote? Perfect candidate after Obama, progressive for the banjo players at least.

What we have is a microcosm, a Farage moment, blame the minority - it empowers and unites the majority - fools those thick enough to buy into it to begin with - and having sold a solution that doesn't work, you get to sell another solution to a problem that doesnt exist next time round. Money for old rope? Nah, only people paying anything besides those with their lives are the families then burying their loved ones.

The land of the free, and the home of the brave..... (so long as it's not the home of the braves. as that lot were exterminated as well!)

I'm beginning to think this is amazing performance art
