More to it than meets the eye.

Firstly, the black lad robbed a story earlier in the morning.

Secondly, he was with an accomplice who "witnessed" the shooting but neglected to mention anything about the robbery. The truth of his witness account is very suspect.

Thirdly, the cop involved had no history whatsoever of being trigger happy and has given a very different story about what happened.

Not saying he wasn't killed unlawfully, but reluctant to jump to a conclusion. This could easily be "reverse racism" in action.

I suppose this is what happens when one combines historical injustice, current poverty, a lack of any kind of decent education, a society that couldnt have lower expectations of poor young men (of whatever colour) and a political system that is increasingly identity-focused and corrupt.

In fact its amazing this doesnt happen more often.

This is what i mean. I knew it was some punk who wasnt just having a sunday walk.

But, the copper did not know about the robbery at the time.

Indeed - but it does establish character a bit doesn't it? It certainly flings into doubt the honour student innocent black guy gunned down by "whitey" portrayal by the rioters.

Rioters who, by the way, looted the store that the guy robbed in a rage that it dared to be robbed apparently.

The shooting death of Michael Brown occurred on August 9, 2014, in Ferguson, Missouri, United States, a suburb of St. Louis. Brown, an 18-year-old African-American man, died after being shot multiple times by Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson, 28, who is white.[1][2][3] Brown was unarmed, and had no history of arrests or criminal convictions.[4] According to Ferguson police, Brown was a suspect in a robbery committed minutes before the shooting, although the initial contact between Wilson and Brown was unrelated to the robbery.[5][6] Wilson has served four years with the Ferguson Police Department and two years with another local police department.[7] He had no disciplinary history.[8]

As of August 17, 2014, authorities have yet to release detailed information as to how Brown was shot and killed, or even how many bullets were fired or bullet wounds sustained.[9]

Strange this only has a thread now, been following it from beginning and is major news in US.

Like the Tottenham riots on steds and lemo...

Anyone who has a problem with the police has probably been behaving like a tit. All the good folk have no problem with them.

Kopite behaviour.

There's more than a degree of equivalence between the way black folk are treated in america and the way the israelis treat the palestinians.

Yet the reaction to acts of resistance are quite different.

It's hard to have sympathy with someone who acted like an utter [Poor language removed] in the first place - robbing that feller's shop and then threatening to batter him when he came around the counter.

Not saying the coppers aren't to blame here (probably are) but I think I'll save my tears for people who are completely innocent...like those Palestinians butchered for 5 weeks.

Not really; the far more apt comparison with Palestinians is the way that native Americans have historically been treated by the US.
