Ferguson- "Six Teams In Title Race This Year"

He doesn't really think we'll win the title, he's simply using us to make his 'snub' worse and more noticeable.

No one thinks we will the title this year mate but it doesn't hurt our rep when our name is being thrown in the mix.

We know our history, and proper football fans do too, but the Sky era has stripped us of our player pulling power and comments like this, no matter the motivation, can only help us.

"I'm not writing anyone off," said the 72-year-old Scot, adding United, now managed by David Moyes, are always strong in the second half of a season.

Speaking to BBC sports editor David Bond, he said: "Tottenham have started coming forward a bit now, Liverpool are doing very well, Everton are doing very well, City are doing fantastic and Arsenal are top of the league.

"With Jose [Mourinho] you expect them [Chelsea] to win games playing ugly, but all these teams are in there. United are in behind chasing."

So it's Sky who are on the wind up.

Different interview then. The Sky link is Geoff Shreeves, not this Bond chap.

Brilliant! Although I don't understand why Liverpool fans are making such a big deal of it.

Can recall a while back either Gerrard or Carragher naming a few teams below us in the league pushing for Europe, without any mention of us. Hilarious how their fans make out that we obsess over them, yet their players throw in multiple sly digs about us every year.

Hypocrites!
