Is'nt it amazing once top four sides drop points the managers complain about total nonsense. Sir Alex was unhappy that Alan Wiley did not protect his players in today's game at Goodison. I am sorry, are Everton expected to let his United team the time and the space to steamroller the blues? I am not sure what match Ferguson was watching today but it certainly was'nt the same one i witnessed. Wiley gave a hell of a lot of decisions to United this afternoon and despite them having the better of the first half, Ferguson is lucky not to have suffered a defeat. I suppose he failed to spot what should have been a red card for Wes Brown when he took down the Yak in which he was last man? Protecting players, sounds a little like comments uttered from the likes of Houllier and Benitez.

its a joke isnt it ?

imo i think the fa should take a look at the freekicks ronaldo gets.
many are not freekicks at all.
he runs at a player , does a couple of step overs and then 1 of 2 things happen.
1. he turns his back on the defnder , backs into him and then throws himself to the floor at the slightest touch.
2.he taps the ball right or left of the defender and runs straight into him with no attempt to follow the ball.

its disgusting that defenders are punished without even having any intent to foul.

this issue has to be addressed by the fa.

Was he watching the same game as me the ref gave us f all! I thought the two worse tackles of the day were by Utd players.

Ha ha poor Wayne being picked on by the ref, and those horrible nasty supporters.

"I think the referee was to blame for that (the substitution) because he's booked him for nothing," he told Sky Sports.

"I think with the crowd egging him on, there was every chance he was going to get sent off. It wasn't his doing, I thought he did nothing wrong in the game. I thought he behaved well.

"We were getting to the point where I was wondering what the referee was going to do next."

"Everton turned it into a battle in the second half particularly. They were encouraged by the crowd, they were up for it. In fairness to them you have to give credit them credit for that.

"They unsettled us and then we started to give the ball away. That's what has cost us the match.

"We had a terrific spell in the first half but in the second half they started to get wired into us. I don't think the referee protected us enough. I don't know what the game is coming to, to be honest. The speed of some of the tackles, the ferocity, somebody is going to get a serious injury."

roy keane ? - nuff said

thats double standards sir taggart !!!!

Legend though has to be said!

Feck Keane, bloody Cantona despite jumping into the corwd he was a dirty little sod! Also one Mark Hughes!

Ferguson comments can be loosely translated as the ref didnt pay enough attention to our players diving today! Utd certainly dont like a rattle do they!

Didnt go so far as to mention Nevilles name you know who hes talking about though dont you!

You've just described Arteta there.

Maybe they just should be given a 2 goal advantage and make it a non-contact sport. Unbelievable, can understand a Spanish or French manager complaining about the style of play, adapted by Everton today, but for a Scottish one? Everton today (2nd half) played the brand of football, that made me fall in love with the British game, many years ago.

"We were getting to the point where I was wondering what the referee was going to do next."

That's an odd comment. Is he trying to tell us that in a 'normal' game he knows what the ref is going to do before he does it?
I'd be interested to find out how that works.
