Didn't we pay like 5m for Distin at 31? Yobo is just as strong and fit, he's got many years in him, also considering it's a different league where there's room for age - he's easily got 3-4 seasons left in him. No way 2m is enough.

I was just about to point that out about Distin, I'd be really disappointed if they got Yobo as cheap as £2mill.

Has he really got a choice as he has a few more years left on his contract. Also we would get much more from a promoted/bottom of the table team as he is a proven premiership defender so I think we should hold out for at least £3.5-£4mill.

If it comes to it, he can come back as far as I am conscerned, sit on the bench and we can sell him for £5m in January to someone who is desperate for a defender

He is only 30, nearly 31. Yobo is what I would call a very good, committed player, and good defenders usually are good until they are about 33-35. 2mill is not enough for him.

Heitinga is a quality centre back, he showed that last year when he had a run of games there
Ive slated him all season in centre mid but to be fair to him its not his position and he's always said he is a centre back and thats where we've seen him play his best football for us

We have to be realistic, the market has changed, you can see the number of players being released for free. 3.5m is about right.

I don't know why anyone would want to see that partnership, both are prone to errors. I'd like to see Jags and Heitinga, who would be able to play the ball out of defence.
