They've got no chance. International footballer with three years on his contract.

It just means he may go somewhere else. Won't be in an Everton shirt next year though that's for sure.

If it means Moyes doesn't have to sell someone else to make up the difference then he should stick it out for the £5M that was touted last summer. Captain of his country, a successful season for his new club, three years left on his contract. Everton are not in a weak position this time.

£2m, chancing their arm there, £4m is what we should get for him at least. I think we should offer him to Besiktas or Galatasaray!

Think we are mate. Hell be hammering to stay with them and they'll come to some agreement around that price. If the Turkish champs who are playing champs league next year aren't going to pay 5mill, I can't see any team not playing at that level of football paying that much.

my guess is he's basically signed for them and we've just got to barter between 2 and 3mill. He's surplus here and we won't get a better deal as we would've already had it by now.

I dont know about that. If they're playing CL football next season then they have to keep hold of a player they have been pleased with and who commands a place at the heart of defence. If they let him go for the sake of a couple of more million or so than they're offering they then have to go out and buy a replacement - and sellers will charge CL prices.

My guess is they'll agree on £4.5 or something. Certainly not less than £4M.

Doubt we will hold out too long for a better deal, as we will have to start paying his wages and other related costs (insurance etc...) soon - sometimes it is not just about what you are receiving but what you can save by doing a quicker deal for less.

They're trying it on.

Captain of his country, just won them the title, only 30 or 31 or something so got a few years left in him, three years left on his contract?

Got to be worth £4m or STFU, basically, Fenerbahce.
