Female commentators

I really struggle to find any football commentators i dont actively dislike listening to. Barry Davies was good.
The best pundits are usually the foreign guys at the tournaments. Desailly is very good, Leonardo excellent and a couple of others.

Alex Scott seems to do research for the games and has some reasonable opinions, you can't always agree and what would be the fun in that anyway? Compared to Nicholas, Lawrenson and Crooks etc she is an oasis in a desert of dunces.

Nymzee mentioned Doris Burke as well who tends to be better than most for the NBA. They exist. And I think it’s fair to say men get away with being crap, but I would love to see them hire better women for broadcasting.

I'd just like to see them hire people for the role instead of getting anyone who played for rs, give them some basic media training and then broadcast them to millions of people without noticing that they have all the charm and personality of a road traffic accident.

Carragher has some good analysis and he works well with Neville but he is basically a rs fan with a microphone.
It's absurd that he gets to commentate on their games without a representative from the rs opposition too.

My ideal situation would be an ex pro from each club and a commentator. Different ones every time. If they are great then everyone is impressed and if they are rubbish everyone gives him a bit of good natured stick.

That’s fine, I don’t mind him being a RS, the majority of my friends support them and are good lads who talk sense.

Ideally they would have neutral commentators for each game but they seem intent on flooding it with [Poor language removed] from the last 20 years. It is what it is. Luckily I only have to suffer it for away games.

All the lady commentators I've heard are crap.But most ladies I've seen on the tele doing pre match on sky , bt etc know their stuff, especially Alex Scott.
