According to Everton TV, if he picks up a booking in the next two games he will be banned for the semi. I'd personally rest him against West Brom and Norwich in that case and bring him back against Sunderland. If you play him in the hope that he doesn't get booked, sod's law it will happen. If you ask him to go easy his game (and our intensity) will probably suffer. And if you ask him to get booked he might end up getting himself a straight red.

We could try Johnny in midfield to ease Jags back in. Neville did a good job there at Swansea too.

Pretty sure like said,he is on 8 [everton's own stats say 8] and as long as he does not get a yellow in each of his next 2 games he is ok,one yellow card in the say tomorrows game i think will see him rested, but moyes if he was not joking when that he could be one card [which i think is wrong] away did not even seem to know unless he was joking by not knowing, but then again he did not sem to know answers to most things today going by the bit on everton tv

we dont need to ease Jags in, because Jonny is better than him, and we are a better team with Heitinga in defence

He is on 8 yellows. If he gets one against West Brom then rest him against Norwich, simple.

I thought you were taking the piss when you suggested he looked like he needed a rest earlier....are you serious?

Felli's been an absolute collosus lately, his partnership with Gibson works a treat as well and allows him to bomb on more as he did to set up both goals on Tuesday

A month or two ago, id agree. But he was bossed in the derby, bossed in the first half against Sunderland at home, played up front for the last few games

He was sloppy in the first IMO on Tuesday. Stepped up in the 2nd half, but comparable to 2 months ago, he looks tired to me.

So what you're saying is that either Everton TV have got it wrong or we run the risk that Moyes will rest him - unnecessarily - for BOTH of the next two games because someone THINKS he might get a ban. FFS that would be beyond ridiculous. I have asked Andy Lewis for an update.

Better to have Jags and Johnny both on form and in peak fitness than wearing Heitinga out and having Jags rusty and unhappy on the bench waiting for his chance.

They did also say we'd reached the FA Cup FINAL mind!

I think the reporter worded it badly. He said "if Fellaini gets booked in the next 2 games...." It would seem that he would in fact need two bookings in three games to be banned for the semi.
