30 year old Arteta was a worry to lose, but losing 23 year old Fellaini would have been a completely different kettle of spuds. Keeping the younger players and allowing the older ones to move on is a sad state of affairs in football because we love the players that have stayed and fought it out for and with us against all odds, but football is no fairytale world.

That's it in a nutshell. There'll be no Pienaar run-down of the clock and Everton will get a reasobnable amount for him when money bags clubs are ready to take him. We wait and see what it means beyond that. It could mean that other players like Rodwell and Barkley see this and decide that they'll stay too; it could equally mean that one of them will go if we cant get decent money for players like Heitinga and Bilyaletdinov in the next couple of windows.

Iam hoping we can keep Rodwell and Barkley with fellaini as I think we could be seeing a very talented and strong midfield trio.

Heitinga and bily being sold would help the wage bill and give us money for replacements.

We should be ACTIVELY selling the older ones.....
