Unless the club get bought out or find the long aluding investment they have been searching for i think its fair to say that the lad will move on to pastures new, hes not blind and like everyone else can see the situation the club finds itself in and he can also read things like the statement issued by Elstone which says DM will again get no transfer budget this summer to strenthen an already small squad

The lads pure quality and will only get better with time its just a shame in my view it wont be with us

I think that he should sign a 3 year contract and then if we haven't progressed as a club, then we look to sell him when he's around 25/26

He must know we cant progress under this board so if nothing happens during the summer with signings i cant see him signing a new contract

I still think there's a lot he can learn here though, we've got a decent set up here and if he could continue to impress with us, I'm sure it won't be long until teams like Madrid and Milan come knocking.

It's just a matter of time before he leaves, unless we find that investor/take over, we've been looking for 24/7. Shame really, as he's a top top drawer player, but something that is to be expected from a club in our position.. I've always been one for the positive approach, but this last transfer window, made me realise, we're standing still at the very best. Clubs left, right and centre are catching up.

Your kidding about a stupidstupidstupid bid arnt you? he has maybe 18 months left on his contract come the summer and if he refuses to sign a new one which i think is a strong poss with the current state of the club at this time we will have to listen to offers to get a good price or risk another piennar

We're screwed if he is. He has been our Scott Parker of late; he ends 90% of the opposition's moves and starts 90% of ours.

Add that to Rodwell's injury....

Hopefully he's alright though!!!
