In the People newspaper today:


Everton are ready to open talks on a new five-year deal for Marouane Fellaini - just as his dad is urging him to quit Goodison Park for Chelsea.
 

I absolutely do not blame him, Chelsea would be a cracking club for him.
We're skint, and have nothing to offer him.. other than prayer.
 

50m and we've been robbed in my opinion.

Fellaini is much more valuable than Torres. Younger, more talented, better looking...

if it was some random joe who was his agent trying to make a few quid of a move we could report him to the FA, but if we tried that with papa felli would maraoune side with daddy?

£60m and I'd understand it. £50m and I'd be mildly annoyed but still understand it.

Anything less, anything at all, and I'll be organising protests myself.
 
I always keep my valuations of our players realistic, but I agree. For so many reasons, anything less than £40-£50 million would be an injustice for EFC.

You can tell he loves it here though. Hopefully he doesn't fold to his father's wishes so easily.
