Favourite Foodie Moments

Love all the winter comfort food.

Home made Scouse
Peawack & Spare ribs
Cottage pie
Shepards pie
Liver & Onions
Pie & Mash

Or just a good old Fish Finger butty,
Fresh thick cut crusty bread with lashings of butter with battered fish fingers , plenty of salt & vinegar.
Takes some beating this.
My sort of food although never heard of the top two

beef/lamb stew in 'wool'.
pea & ham soup, everywhere else on earth.

Sunderland FA Cup game. She says to her mate........''If he's up ..he will be making a pan of scouse and have got himself a Brandy and coke on the go '' .............Hate it when they are so FFFKIN Accurate.

Local dishes we grew up with.

Scouse is basically a stew some call Lob scouse as in cheap cuts of meat and potatoes , vegetables are "lobbed in the pot" All boiled up and best served next day .

Peawack is split peas / lentils onions leeks and carrots in a thick soup made with the stock from spare ribs/ bacon bits.

There are of course variations from family to family.
Both winter heartwarmers tho.

@marnie hope the boss is ok, and daytime boozing (morning?) is an exception, not a rule.
I joke on here.......a standing joke about Greek box wine.Never go near it and only drink a few beers after 8pm your time.Been on the phone tonight booking a room in Athens for the final 3 treatments.First one requires a stayover. The next 2 are fly in and fly out on the same day. I would do anything for her.Me being a bit of a BELL on here ...is just my sanctuary and release. xx
