It seems like there's a few threads relating to favourite film lists.
Maybe, if we each select 1 favourite film, then we can produce a poll to choose the winner?
So, with no, "I like this film because of the story" or "I like this film because of the special effects" etc, name that film!

For me the shawshank redemption or the green mile . Must have watched them over 100 times . Classics

Load already mentioned that I could agree with but I cannot pick a favourite out of:

Inglourious Basterds, Pans Labyrinth and Zatoichi.

Having said that, watching Star Wars as as kid was incredible and still resonates now.

zatoichi is a modern classic...the other two dont hold a candle to it.

Sometimes, it can be just the mood you are in, how receptive you are at that time. I can watch a "great" film sometimes and not rate it.

Watched Sicario last week and thought it was average for instance.
