Homemade is the best when we've got time and can be bothered, will bake more when I'm old and retired.
I like Tesco Rye bread for sandwiches, has to be fresh though.
Kingsmill 50/50 is ok toasted.
Tiger bread is dreadful, it's just air filled supermarket 'bread' that has been painted with a paste that cracks the crust as it bakes.
Obviously homebaked bread is the winner, but nobody makes that everyday. Apart from possibly old people, and maybe the unemployed.
Maybe fresh baked bread from a baker.
Or your oven.
Supermarkets sell floury air. Probably injected with a nice smell.
What about a breadmaker?
We used to get bread from our local shop, which got it from a local baker, but they shut so we bought a breadmaker.
A loaf a day. If you get it right, you get it really right.
Get it wrong, its a bit dry and chewy.
