Can those of you with facebook attempt clicking the 'connect' button at the very top and look to sync your accounts?

If you have an existing account it makes logging in remarkably easier. Logged in with one click! (provided you have logged into facebook at some point)

All you have to do is click "remember me" and have your browser save the password. The only time I have to sign in is when I clear my cookies.

is there a setting to turn those fb things off? those fb and msn online stat requests seem to be the things that slow pages here the most (ie up to seconds)
