He had a chance to keep them up but, miraculously, made Leeds even worse.

He actually did play a part in keeping us up this season with his abysmal 1 from 12 points in Leeds last 4 games. Contrary to urban myth and Sam Allardyce, he never rescued us when he was here, we were in 13th place and well above the relegation places when the Iranian lunatic hired him. We were in very little danger of going down. I really can't decide who, out of Allardyce or Benitez, was the biggest stain on this club.

I'm not big fan of Dyche, but, he really has rescued us, we were right in the poo when he came in and this is probably the worst quality Everton team I've seen. Fair play to him.

Benitez did massively more damage with outgoing players, Allardyce did more damage with incoming players. Lumbering us with Cenk for nearly 30m was absurd.
