Gwladys St. Glory

It went a bit sh*te, Doc...
Anyone else here enjoy that show? It was a Hensen production out of Australia. I'm not huge on sci-fi but loved this series. A&E have just released the complete series again on DVD, thankfully. The Starburst Editions were getting way too scarce/pricey for my liking. Just got my copy of Season 1 to start all over from the beginning.

Good stuff if you're into sci-fi but I enjoy the comedic side of it the most.

Funny you bring this up. I tried watching the first episode on Netflix last week. Couldn't even make it through half of the episode.

Unless it gets a LOT better than the first half of the first episode....

Well, naturally this kinda' topic's subjective and I have to agree the acting leaves a bit to be desired at first. I actually ran into it by accident on the Sci-Fi channel one evening and it caught me...I think it was towards the end of season 2, so I was naturally lost, but it still got me...I think Scorpius was what really got me watching, love the character.

It's a quirky show, no doubt...there's just something about it. The production value ramps up pretty well too as the series goes on. Again, this is like music, it's subjective...I dunno Dylan. I say give it a chance. Maybe it's because I'm not a huge sci-fi buff that I see past some of it's quirkier stuff. Gotta' laugh at puppets telling an actor to "Shut up you blue b*tch!!" though.

Maybe wait and see if others chime in about their thoughts to decide if you want to watch it further but I say give it a chance to stick on ya'.

I'll be honest, I've never heard of that program, FarScape, sounds like some Internet Protection package or something.

I don't watch sci-fi but the old original StarTrek is being shown on that new channel who took over Zone Reality, CBS or something.

9pm weekdays.

Shatner and Nimoy and the rest, can't beat the original.

I'll be honest, I've never heard of that program.

Most haven't but it developed a pretty big underground following. It's definitely a love it or hate it kind of show, especially with fans of sci-fi. This will be the 3rd release on DVD and it's all been born out of fans asking for it. A lot of people didn't see it until it had gone out of production and went into re-runs...one of those types of situations. For those in the UK, they'd be most familiar with Claudia Black...she played Aeryn Sun. Here's the Wiki:

no disrepect, and I've read the Wiki page, but it just doesn't hold any interest for me, I suppose it's either your cup of tea or it isin't.

Some could say the same with the Destination Kirkby Project, or even Moyes himself.

Weak tea for the former, Strong Brew for the latter.
