The whole things rotten mateAlso telling what he didn't say mate, talksport clearly briefed not to ask him if we had funds and how much in the transfer window.
I don't like the non-sound of that.

We really need this Ukraine war over so Usmanov can step back and launder his money again to finance the stadium.
Loves the club AND local….. fits all the criteriaTony Bellew maybe, vast experience.

Even if he said we have substantial funds to invest in the squad would we believe him? I would say no, remember 'Judge us at the end of the window', how did that turn out. Also telling what he didn't say mate, talksport clearly briefed not to ask him if we had funds and how much in the transfer window and plans & progress on recruitment.

He essentially said that because Bill and Denise are from Liverpool and are local is super important because they really care about the project.
He's valuing "they know the city" vs expertise of ever completing a stadium build OR building a successful footballing model.
He emphasised what a mammoth task it is to complete a stadium build - which is fair enough... However, all the more reason to have a board that have experience / expertise vs just being scousers and overlooking almost thirty years of no success.
It sounds to me like he basically admitted what a big distraction this stadium build is (especially when you're a 77 year old man ((Bill)) and have never built a stadium before, never-mind a successful transfer strategy simultaneously).

If this is his criteria then I'm sure "Dave the groundsman" (made up name!!) who has been with us since 1933 could do the job blindfold!!I don't understand how "been there a long time" & "local" is any sign of good enough for the job of running a premier league club in the right way. Moshiri is an idiot.
Don't agree i'm afraid. The new ground just masks the smell, it does not get rid of it!Im playing devils advocate, and adding that new gorund in the mix, its a massive massive part of our future.....and we need to not cut our nose of spite our face.
Thats all im saying.
Its very early after his interview, so people are very angry.
All im saying is, we need to tread a little carefull while that stadius is sat half built, thats it.
Bit harsh mate.
I would of thought he’d be more of a brookside guyFixed it for you mate
Can't wait to see who he has in mind, his track record is pretty stellar:I see he mentioned that hes going to add to the board.
