What I don't get is, say you have 7-10 (take 8 as ex) players on 100k a week. That's 166 million a year just for those players. PLUS all the other players and staff that have to be paid. How can that be possible, even for a billionaire.

Something doesn't add up. I know the idea is to make money and ofc it's 166 million - profits. But still.

edit: oh and that's net! Not gross!

How does 8x100,000x52= 166m mert?

Moshiri is laying the ground work, there has to be another investor involved here, 100%.

All this talk of Usmanov not being able to sell his shares is pure opinion and conjecture, like Usmanov is some two bit multi billionaire who won't have every angle covered.

It is my opinion Kroenke would buy his shares, which he offered to do in 2011 and Usmanov turned him down.

Doesn't have to be Usmanov though mate, i know it seems plausible given their business interests but doesn't mean it's him. **Plenty more Billionaires in the sea**

F. None of the above :)

So how is he planning to proceed? If there's not anyone else coming in, how can he afford to keep up such a high level of spending? Is the plan for this big transfer budget to be a one-time thing and to scale back to a place between Kenwright-level and 100m-level?

Its defo Usmanov.

Its simple maths, Usmanov has shares, he sells those shares, he invests in Everton.

All the why and who doesnt matter, people buy shares every single day.

To purchase the shares from David Dein, Red and white holdings paid 75m for 15%.

That same 15% was sold almost 2 months ago for 200m.

Thats why somebody will buy the shares, thats why they wont care about being a minority shareholder.

So it looks like the wages are going through the stratosphere from currently 77 million now to maybe double that in the next 24 months,i hope some commercial deals are in the pipeline to counter this because FFP will come into effect once it's qualifying for European competition.

The last turnover results was £123 million pounds with 77 million spent on wages and 16 million commercial revenues.

The likes of City Arsenal Chelsea and the RS will see their turnovers countering in with the extra tv revenues that will be almost double they were last season and the increased matchday revenues with expansion going at 3 clubs right now, that will bring them to hitting over the 400 million pound mark by the 2017-2018 results, the likes of Spurs and West ham with their new stadiums will be in the 250-300 million range.

Mosh has got a massive job on his hands,he needs to improve the commercial revenues from 16 million to over a 100 million within 2-3 seasons and have a stadium within 4 years.

We all have to remember that next season the 20th team will receive £100m. I may have read somewhere, but don't quote me on this, that each position above is worth another £3m? That's £130 income for a 10th place finish. And I would guess that is conservative.

Mr Moshiri isn't going bankrupt any time soon.
