Well it definitely needs to have a seating area, and Martinez mentions that too, but it's not really shown in those plans.

The seating area always sounded like it would just be enough to pass the regulations to play the games at Finch Farm rather than have to travel to Southport.

The recuperation block is the key bit imo, something that Martinez has wanted since he first arrived.

Just makes everything easier, have full control, matches possibly won't be called off, everything will be in one place which may be good for the young lads to develop

True. If we still want to be known of it (academy and community stuff) then it's kinda natural thing from a perspective of us developing as a club.

I thought I'd seen a Martinez quote recently that it was good for young players to have matches on less than perfect surfaces so cant understand the need for this

It's so we don't have to share with Southport any more since their ground isn't the best and sometimes games have to be cancelled or played indoors because the pitch is unplayable.
