Amongst other issues. Walked away from more lucrative sponsors to stay with Chang, who a few years ago put Premier League players on labels and billboards and adverts in Thailand. Guess how many Everton players were featured? Zip, zero, nada. But no, our 'relationship' is solid and greatly reciprocal. For me The main priority is building a new stadium and the man has just had a very public spat with the Mayor who made a fool of him. Almost literally in spite of the people running the club. Don't forget, we sold Arteta to pay the banks. That's damn close to administration levels.Has it not occurred to people, that Elstone might actually be good at his job? I haven't seen us close to bankruptcy for a number of years, I haven't seen us firesaling our best players for a few years, I have seen us smash our transfer record, and get our highest premier league points total. So the perceived negatives of some shitty office block failing to be built, and an outsourcing of a failure of a business arm, are far outweighed by the positives for me.

So he might have to eat a bit of crap behind closed doors, that's business. How he's personally viewed by Anderson won't be a deal breaker - as both sides want the same end result. The difference now is the words are backed with the ability to fund them. And? Anderson will still be dealing with Elstone as the CEO and now the man has a little more influence then he did before. My point isn't about the "final say" it's about the relationship with the Mayor/council
Signing us up with a company suspected of being a ponzi scheme aswellWe've also smashed our transfer record received numerous times under his stewardship. Spent a lot of mi way on a failed ground move that was doomed very early on under his stewardship. Had the badge fiasco, a "shitty office block" project that failed, him insulting fans on the record (twice I think), a public fall out with the mayor.
