In fairness, he could appoint a nominee, but even if he did that he would probably be deemed a shadow director by CA 2006.

Little chance in the mid to long term.

But any new man sensibly won't want to to rock the boat too much at the beginning without assessing everything going on and then implementing his change.

I don't think any perceptive businessman will stand Elstone too long, there's very few that talk well of him and that will tell in the end.
What do you expect for only £300k a year? Chickenfeed!
