I can see the owners flaws but I dont think there is some mystical owner in the distance that will come in, invest the same sort of dough Moshiri has whilst making zero mistakes, being a knowledge footballing man and having us back in the promised land that some are praying for.

As Newcastle fans found out the days of Man City buyouts are over and not many owners out there will be buying into clubs after a pandemic to invest big money around trying to build us up.

Burnley were recently taken over and they have loaded the club with debt and barely spent a penny.

Our situation isn't perfect but like the manager there isn't many other options out there who would come in and change things for the better.

I think we'll be in a much better place in the coming years once the ground is built etc. The Koeman/Walsh era knocked us sideways for a few years and Brands added to that spending £115 million in one window on Kean, Gomes, Gbamin, Delph & Iwobi.

FFP stops us from being able to fix that overnight like it does with the likes of Utd who can waste £73 million on Sancho then go out and sign another top striker for £50+ million.
Newcastle are actually a well run club, the issue with them is that their fans are stuck in past (much like many of our fans) and they still think the days of Keegan and John Hall and they spend loose, well Ashley clearly does'nt want to do that and that's his choice. Tbf to him when Newcastle went down to the championship under Benitez they spent more money than any other relegated team had before.
You mention the manager situation, well we ended up with Benitez because of the poor accounts which meant we could not pay compensation for anyone else better - ie poor management from the board level again.
You keep mentioning FFP, we have these issues due to a complete lack of planning or structure and we are 100% to blame from the board down to whichever manager was involved.

This always gets overlooked and tbh, makes me even more mad than the other one.

At least we're getting our money back for Kean.

No mate its all Moshiri's fault how dare he back the manager.

Its like your parents give you £5000 to buy your first car at 18 and you go Genting Casino instead and blow it up the wall then blaming your parents for being generous enough for giving you the money in the first place lol

So who would you rather as owner mate Ashley or Moshiri if offered?

Moshiri is definitely a football fan. Might not be a knowledgeable one but definitely a fan.
Kronke is a football fan
American football
The only reason he wants Arsenal is to leverage them for finance for his American sports franchise
He could not care less about Arsenal once they are financially successful
He is married to one of the richest women in the world , a Walton (Walmart ) heiress

Clearly my parents were more like Blue Bill.

"F Off, This isn't a charity, if you want a car, you go and earn it"

I watched a programme on bbc2 last night called Fever Pitch.
About the start of the Premier League.
Saw Philip Carter there at the meetings.

What I found striking, and I realise it was a good few years ago now, was that the total wealth of Jack Walker was £360m.
He bought the league ( although that’s next weeks show ).
So Everton have a squad now which cost more than that fellas total wealth.
Really is incredible when you think about the modern game.
Is the series worth a watch, or would I waste three hours ?

Best thing we could do is remove the dusty old management team above benetiz. The likes of bill and Denise. Even unsworth. Recruit professionals and not the easy options.

Apologies if already posted but article about mosh selling up:

It would make no sense for Moshiri to sell now.

The only thing that I think may be true here is the club not 'splashing the cash' for the next season or two without sales.

My guess (which i think is fairly obvious) is that we'll keep as much powder dry as possible until 2023 summer. Then Id expect a large outlay on players before we move into the new stadium.

I think next summer we will be operating on a 'sell to buy' which I think makes sense with alot of players out of contract + I think we will see one or two chunky sales.
